Relevant representations due in one month

Organisations and individuals interested in participating in the examination phase of the Dogger Bank Teesside A&B offshore wind development proposals have a month today to register their interest.

The closing date for the registrations to become an “interested party” in the proposed 2.4GW development is Thursday 12 June.

Dogger Bank Teesside A&B is Forewind’s second stage of development of the Dogger Bank Zone. It comprises two wind farms, proposed to connect to the national grid at the existing Lackenby Substation in Teesside.

Anyone wishing to make comments on the application, take part in the examination process or be informed of its progress, should register via the Planning Inspectorate’s website. Forewind would also appreciate copies of the correspondence going to the organisation via [email protected] to ensure early identification of issues.

This registration is part of the Planning Inspectorate’s pre-examination phase, which will be followed later by the formal examination phase.

The six-month examination phase is likely to start in the third quarter of this year and the outcome from that will be a recommendation to the Secretary of State who will make the final consent decision.

Copies of the full applications are also available to review at all local libraries in Redcar & Cleveland and to download here.
