Dogger Bank Project One - Creyke Beck
Dogger Bank Project One will be the first project to be developed in the Dogger Bank Zone. It will comprise a wind farm of up to 1.4GW, export cables and up to two onshore converter substations with associated infrastructure. Forewind has accepted a grid connection offer made by National Grid to connect Dogger Bank Project One into the existing Creyke Beck substation, near Cottingham in the East Riding of Yorkshire.
Dogger Bank Project One will comprise some hundreds of turbines - depending on the turbine size selected. The full range of feasible foundation types - including monopiles, multipiles, suction, and gravity base options - are under consideration. The project will also comprise a number of offshore substations, a network of interarray cables, and one or two met masts.
