Forewind produced a Statement of Community Consultation (SoCC) summarising the consultation approach for Dogger Bank Creyke Beck. The consultation was carried out in two formal phases as part of the development process. Those phases were:

Phase One (late 2011) – Consultation on the site selection process for Dogger Bank Creyke Beck. The Preliminary Environmental Information 1 documents are available to download here

Phase Two –The documents related to the final statutory consultation period for Dogger Bank Creyke Beck can be reviewed electronically here

There was also an opportunity for input during the Application phase.

Application and Examination - The Planning Inspectorate formally accepted the Dogger Bank Creyke Beck development consent order application for examination on 25 September, 2013; the six-month examination process began on 18 February 2014, and was concluded on 18 August 2014. Details of the process can be viewed on the Planning Inspectorate website.

Ornithology addendum - Following the receipt of additional ornithological data about other developments in the North Sea, Forewind prepared and consulted on further environmental information relating to the ornithology assessment for Dogger Bank Creyke Beck. Feedback from this consultation was incorporated into updated documents submitted to the Planning Inspectorate. 

Consent granted - Dogger Bank Creyke Beck was granted consent by the Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change on 17 February 2015. Operators will be appointed to progress the projects through their next stages. 

Owners announced - in August 2017, SSE and Statoil were announced as the joint owners of these two projects. Further stakeholder engagement and consultation will be integral to their activities.
