Consultation

Forewind has published a Statement of Community Consultation (SoCC) for the proposed Dogger Bank Teesside and its associated infrastructure. The SoCC explains how Forewind will consult with the local community including residents living within a specified distance of the project, the general public, community groups, local businesses, technical consultees and land owners, as well as others who work in or use the area, both offshore and onshore.

Consultation on Dogger Bank Teesside will be carried out in two formal phases.

Phase One – underway May/June 2012

During this phase, Forewind will clearly explain the site selection work done to date, including the process to narrow down the locations of the offshore wind farms, landfalls and converter stations.

Stakeholders will be invited to provide comments on the proposals while local people will specifically be asked for information on issues that should be considered when choosing the precise locations for onshore and offshore elements of the project.

Consultation documents will also be available at local locations and to download from this website from 24 May 2012.

Consultation responses must reach Forewind by Friday 22 June 2012 to ensure that they are considered.

Phase Two – anticipated to be in 2013

During this phase Forewind will ask the local community for comments on the detailed proposals for Dogger Bank Teesside.
